Pohnpei, FSM

Pohnpei is one of Micronesia’s lesser-known dive destinations, offering uncrowded reefs, clear tropical water, and impressive marine life. A surrounding barrier reef creates channels, walls, and passes where divers can encounter manta rays, reef sharks, eagle rays, turtles, and schooling fish. Healthy coral systems and low diver traffic give Pohnpei a remote, exploratory feel, while Nan Madol, lush rainforest, and waterfalls make the island equally rewarding above the water.
